Overall, I'd say this is the top 'tourist' site to visit in Atlanta.
My family and I sat near the back because the front row of the auditorium was taken, so when the dolphins were swimming or performing underwater, it was hard to see. I went to the dolphin presentation and while I did not know what to expect, I was kind of hoping for more pizazz during the presentation. Also, they do have dolphin and seal presentations that are included in your ticket as long as you book a reservation online the day of and those get super crowded too. For example, some of the exhibits can become quite crowded to move through in the peak afternoon time and the lunch line was impossibly long so try to eat beforehand. However, it gets super busy in the afternoon, as expected (went on a Sunday in the summer). You can easily spend 2-3 in the aquarium if you look at each exhibit closely. There's a lot of great views in the aquarium, especially in the big, famous tank with the whale shark, stingrays, and more. I think the only exhibit in which you could touch an animal was the stingray, but they were very shy on my exhibit so I just watched from afar.
